There is no built-in rangefinder for the BTR-82A.

For quick ranging marks, use SL markers. Chevrons are off-centered on all ammo types, with the chevrons automatically changing depending on which type of ammunition is loaded.

Similar to the previous Russian turrets with the same basic design as the BTR-82A.

The chevrons will change depending on which type of round is loaded. The chevron ranges are in the 100s of meters with SL marks needed for quick rangefinding (BMP2M has a rangefinder).

The left side of the sight is for the HEAT (High Explosive Anti Tank) and the right side is for the fragmentation shell.

The gunner's point of aim is always the center and not offset left or right because of the shell.
